Criselda Narcida Teachey, 26, of the 600 block of Woodlake Road, died Jan. 11, 1997, in Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas.
Born in Baguio City, Philippines, she retired in 1996 as a medical technician, airman first class, of the U.S. Air Force after two years service.
Survivors include her husband, Matthew D. Teachey of North Carolina; three sons, Chaz Allen Teachey, Elijah Matthew Teachey, Steven Nelson Teachey, all of North Carolina; parents, Evelyn Narcida Gatewood and Donald N. Gatewood of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Anna Louisa Gatewood, Donna Lynn Gatewood, Barbara Lynn Gatewood, all of Virginia Beach; mother-in-law, Joyce Teachey of North Carolina and step father-in-law, Joe Teachey of North Carolina; father-in-law, Steven Wood of North Carolina; maternal grandfather, Olympio R. Narcida of Virginia Beach; paternal grandparents, Clarence N. and Esther E. Gatewood of New Mexico; and grandmother, Pearly Powell.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Mark Bailey. Burial with full military honors will be accorded in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
