NAVY PANEL: WHERE ARE THE WOMEN?

After reading the Jan. 10 article, ``Panel to study scandal-plagued Naval Academy,'' I was excited the Naval Academy was taking such action.

However, as I read through the article, I became puzzled and alarmed because there was no mention of any women serving on the panel.

If the Naval Academy and the members of the panel are sincerely serious about making changes to eliminate the ugly elements of murder, drug use, pedophilia and car theft, not to mention sexual harassment, where are the high-ranking military women members of the panel?

Also, the panel should consider asking another member of the military community whose expertise and reputation is held in high esteem to serve on the panel, the master chief of the Navy.
