I'd like to respond to the Jan. 8 Another View, ``Maintain quality day-care standards.''
I applaud Felix Falkner's views on the issue. To the Council of Day Care, I say ``Booo''! Reducing the standards of day-care will only reduce the quality. I am sure parents are willing to pay a little more tuition to ensure that their children are properly cared for.
We all should write the governor, our elected Virginia representatives and, especially, the Council for Day Care and let them know that reducing the quality of day care would be a big mistake, and a dangerous one.
