Shelton J. Belangia, 86, died Jan. 17, 1997, in Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Currituck County, N.C. He was a retired salesman for Sealtest Co., Norfolk, and worked as a deputy clerk with the Virginia Beach courts for many years. He was a member of the Suburban Christian Church, Virginia Beach. He was a member of Corinthian Lodge (NU)266 and past president of Kempsville Lions Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Eloise S. Belangia; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in Suburban Christian Church, 5132 Bellamy Manor Drive, with the Rev. James Mead presiding. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Suburban Christian Church Scholarship Fund.
