MERGERS
The Moseley McClintock Group in Richmond and I.V. Harris & Associates in Virginia Beach have merged to form the architectural firm of Moseley Harris & McClintock. The new company will maintain offices in Richmond, Virginia Beach and Harrisonburg.
BUSINESS EXPANSIONS
Robert E. Shiro, president of Carpetmax in Chesapeake, purchased Carpet Factory & Wallpaper Outlet in Hampton. The company's name will change to Carpetmax. The company said plans are to acquire additional stores in the Virginia Beach and Williamsburg areas.
HONORS, AWARDS
The Holiday Inn Surfside in Virginia Beach received the Holiday Inn Worldwide Torchbearer Award, the company's most prestigious citation for service. The Virginia Beach hotel one of 49 properties chosen from a total of 2,200 facilities.
