ALVERTA E. WILSON

Alverta Elaine Wilson of the 400 block of W. 34th St. died Jan. 16, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A homemaker, Ms. Wilson was born in Richmond and was a member of Deep Creek Church of Christ Disciples.

Survivors include two sons, Reginald Elder of Chesapeake and Ray Anthony Elder of Clayton County, Ga.; sister, Catherine Baker of Norfolk; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; two daughters-in-law, Peggy Elder of Clayton County and Diane Elder of Chesapeake; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Deep Creek Church of Christ Disciples, Chesapeake, by Elder Robert D. Ross. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens. The family will assemble at 11 a.m. at the residence for the procession. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
