Sean J. Anderson, who has managed Holden Beach for two years, has been named town manager of Kitty Hawk.
Anderson, 25, will take over about April 1 when Robert C.W. Nicholl retires after eight years on the job.
A 1994 graduate of Appalachian State University, Anderson was an assistant town manager at Troy for six months before he took the manager's job in November 1994 at Holden Beach, a resort community of 762 permanent residents south of Wilmington.
Anderson and his wife, Belinda, told officials here that they are excited about moving to the Outer Banks. His salary as Kitty Hawk manager will be $41,145.
