CLARIFICATION

School officials said at a School Board meeting last week that

they wouldn't be able to open a daytime alternative school ``this

year'' due to lack of a site, but later said that didn't absolutely

rule out the coming school year if circumstances change.

A Jan. 10 report in The Sun about the meeting said there would be

no such school in the coming year.
