A fire that heavily damaged a home in Carolanne Farms Wednesday morning was accidental, a fire official said.
No one was home when the blaze, caused by an electrical malfunction, began at the home in the 5300 block of Sir Barton Drive, said Mike Wade, a fire department spokesman.
A neighbor spotted the flames and called 911 about 8:19 a.m. When the firefighters arrived, the roof and garage were ablaze. Wade said the house was extensively damaged by fire, and by water used to douse the flames. No one was hurt.
