Ernest Maddrey Jr., 73, of the 2400 block of Staunton Ave., died Jan. 18, 1997.
He retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station with more than 30 years of service. Mr. Maddrey was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Wanda Onawole; brother, Lawrence Maddrey; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will be at 2100 Lansing Ave., Portsmouth.
