Ann E. Ficken, 68, died Jan. 21, 1997, in Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville, N.C., at 2 p.m.
Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of William W. Jones Sr. and Florence Drake Jones.
Survivors include a son, Ted Ficken of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Sylvia Powell of Greenville; two granddaughters, Amy and Kim Ficken of Seattle, Wash.; a grandson, Brandon Powell of Greenville; two sisters, Florence Verstynen and Laura Maurizio of Norfolk; five brothers, William W. Jones Jr. of Portsmouth, Robert Jones of Virginia Beach, Herman Jones of Gainsville, Fla., Russell Jones and Glen Jones of Gloucester.
Graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Fred Braswell at 2 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Lung Association or to the charity of your choice. After the service, the family will be at 3533 Waycross Road.
