A 22-year-old who was wounded Tuesday night in a double shooting was released from the hospital Wednesday, police said.
Police are investigating the motive for the shooting that fatally wounded Joseph W. William, 18, and critically wounded the 22-year-old, whose name was not released because he witnessed a homicide, said police spokesman Larry Hill.
The shootings occurred about 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Lafayette Blvd. Other details of the shooting were sketchy Wednesday. Hill said the shootings likely were not gang-related or drug-related.
A clerk at the Tinee Giant in the 2000 block of Lafayette Blvd. said one of the men ran into the store shortly after the shootings and told people inside that he had been shot by a man on a bicycle.
William, of the 3100 block of St. Mihiel Ave., died shortly after he was taken to a hospital.
