VIRGINIA BEACH - The Virginia Wesleyan men's basketball team moved into second place in the ODAC with a 72-67 win over Bridgewater Wednesday.
James MacLeod hit a 3-pointer to end the first half with the Marlins up 35-27. MacLeod finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Former Kempsville standout Jason Nickerson contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Bridgewater never got closer than eight points in the second half.
The Marlins climbed to 10-6 and 7-3 in the ODAC and Bridgewater falls to 12-4 and 6-4 in the ODAC.
Virginia Wesleyan will travel Saturday to Lynchburg.
