Ethelbert Lucius ``Moe'' Bryant, 71, of the 400 block of Cornwall Road died Jan. 22, 1997, in an Edenton, N.C., hospital.
He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine H. Bryant, and was a switchboard installer for AT&T and a retired scalemaster for J.C. Holland. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America - Old Dominion Chapter No. 43 and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Brickhouse of Columbia, N.C., and Annie Richards of Panama City, Fla.; two sons, John Bryant and Brooks Bryant, both of Portsmouth; and 10 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
