Retired U.S. Navy Boatswain's Mate Second Class Allen Baker Jones, 62, of the 1400 block of Deep Creek Blvd. died Jan. 21, 1997, in his resdience.
A native of Carthage, Texas, Mr. Jones retired from the Navy in 1974 and from Norshipco as a rigger in 1991. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Jones; daughter, Jennifer Ann Marie Jones of Chesapeake; three sons, Randy L. Jones of Portsmouth, Ricky G. Jones of Chesapeake and Danny B. Jones of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mary Lou Johnson and Minna Pope, both of Texas; two brothers, Leonard Jones and Bernard Jones, both of Texas; and a grandchild.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. There will be no viewing or visitation at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel.
