VIRGINIA B. WILSON

Virginia Bell (Jennie) Wilson, 70, of Loam St., departed this life Jan. 22, 1997, to be with her Lord and Savior.

Jennie was a native of Norfolk and daughter of the late Rufus H. and Louise M. Bell. She was product of Norfolk Public Schools and Norfolk State College. A member and secretary of BTWHS Class of 1944 Reunion Committee, Virginia was a member of St. John's A.M.E. Church and various organizations.

Survivors include her husband, Marcel A. Wilson of 48 years; a son, Marvin A. Wilson; two daughters, Veeta W. Mitchell and Vernita W. White; a daughter-in-law, Pamela M. Wilson; two sons-in-law, the Rev. Robert C. Mitchell and Keith A. White; four grandsons, Malerick and Marlon Wilson, Justin and Shelton Mitchell; three granddaughters, Raequi and Marchavis Wilson and Kimberly Mitchell; four sisters, Ophelia B. Dash, Elizabeth B. Perkins, Louise B. Harris and Vernice B. Archer; three brothers, Rufus H. Bell Jr., Nehemiah Bell and Alfonso M. Bell and a host of relatives and friends.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Johns A.M.E. Church, 545 E. Bute St., by the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Riddick Funeral Service. The family will be at the residence. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. John A.M.E. Church.
