Robert J. Eveleigh, an attorney with the law firm of Clark & Stant, has been named Metro Information Services Inc.'s vice president of finance, chief financial officer and treasurer. He also will join Metro's board of directors.
The changes are effective immediately before the Beach-based computer-consulting company completes its initial public stock offering, which is expected late next week.
Eveleigh is a CPA who earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Richmond and a law degree from the College of William & Mary. He has been with Clark & Stant, Metro's general counsel, since 1988.
In other changes, disclosed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Metro said:
Current treasurer Steven A. Lurus will resign that position and assume the title of chief accounting officer.
Andrew J. Downing, Metro's executive vice president and chief operating officer, was named to the company's board of directors, which is chaired by company founder John H. Fain.
Metro said two other outside directors will be named within 90 days of the public offering.
The 18-year-old Metro, which has 24 offices in the United States and Puerto Rico, said previously that it expects to clear at least $27 million from the public offering of stock.
In addition, Fain plans to sell shares that could net him another $10 million.
The stock will be traded on the Nasdaq market.
