MILDRED A. FALLETTA

Mildred Anna Falletta, 85, formerly of the 6200 block of Tidewater Drive, died Jan. 24, 1997, in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.

A retired traffic supervisor for C&P Telephone Co., Mrs. Falletta was a native of New York City and the widow of Joseph T. Falletta. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, The Telephone Pioneers of Ameria and Communications Workers of America.

Survivors include a son, Joseph N. Falletta and his wife, Frances, of Virginia Beach; sister, Helen LaVia of Rahway, N.J.; brother, Charles Miller of North Port, Long Island, N.Y.; grandson, Joseph T. Falletta II of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Christ the King Catholic Church by Fr. Joseph Lehman. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Christian Wake service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with the family remaining until 8:30 p.m. to greet friends. Family and friends will gather at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Shalhoup, 8067 Bison Ave., Norfolk, after the service. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
