Ola Jean Jones, 53, of the 2000 block of Piedmont Ave., died Jan. 22, 1997, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
A former child care provider at King's Castle Day Care, Mrs. Jones was a native of Summerville, Ga.
Survivors include her husband, Clifton L. Jones Sr.; three daughters, Sonya Y. ``Angel'' Howell, DaVonna A. ``Toni'' Jones and Gia T. ``Gigi'' Jones, all of Portsmouth; four stepchildren; four sisters, Linda F. Hill of Chesapeake, D. Diane Hicks, Edith M. Harrison and Beverly L. Wilkins, all of Portsmouth; three brothers, Clarence D. Wilkins of Columbia, S.C., Julian T. Wilkins and Andre L. Lackey, both of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Victoria ``Tori'' Howell and Daryl Howell II, both of Portsmouth; aunt, Irma Shropshire of Summerville; a favorite son-in-law, Daryl Howell of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Mount Hermon Baptist Temple Church, Portsmouth, by Dr. N. Lamonte Newsome. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday.
