Sybil Boggs, daughter of Nannie Cunningham and William Lawrence Boggs, was born on Dec. 7, 1903, in Greenville, S.C. and died Jan. 24, 1997.
She was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Class of 1924, and taught at Ruffner Junior High School from 1924 to 1938. She went on to teach physics at Granby High School and retired from teaching in 1982. She recently resided at Westminster-Canterbury in Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Westminster-Canterbury Chapel by Dr. J. Sheperd Russell Jr. Burial will be private in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk or the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is handling arrangements.
