Rebecca Diane Wheatley, 16, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1997, in Chesapeake.
Becky was born in Clinton, N.C., and was a junior at Tangier Combined School. She was a member of the Swain Memorial Methodist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Nolan and Linda Wheatley; sisters, Julie Matthews and Allison Craven; a brother, Benjamin Clayton; maternal grandmother, Alice Etz; and a nephew, Alexander Craven. She was the granddaughter of the late George Etz Jr. and the late Gordon and Ada Wheatley.
Becky was a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She will be truly missed by the people whose lives she touched.
A church service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Swain Memorial Methodist Church on Tangier by the Rev. Wade Creedle and her uncle, the Rev. Edward Pruitt.
