Carl Lafayette Beckett, of the 2300 block of Maltby Ave., died Jan. 25, 1997, in a local hospital. He was a native of Norfolk.
Survivors include a son, Troy Edney; father, George T. Beckett Jr.; a sister, Shirley Cason; three brothers, George T. Beckett III, Terry Beckett and Bernard Beckett; a grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Graves Funeral Chapel. The body will be cremated after services. Friends may join the family at the residence. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
