Timothy ``Tim'' Michael Wheaton of the 3000 block of Winterberry Lane died Jan. 25, 1997. He was 17 years old.
Tim was the loving son of Steven and Margaret Wheaton. He was also the dearest brother of Christopher, Sean and Justin. He is also survived by his grandmother, Priscilla Long, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tim was an avid soccer player who played in the regional championship game for Kellam High School. Tim touched the hearts of everyone who knew him with his positive outlook on life. Tim belonged to Atlantic, Lafayette and Old Dominion soccer clubs, traveling teams. Tim also lettered with Kellam's varsity and junior varsity soccer teams. Tim was always a team player in everything he did in life and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Timothy M. Wheaton Memorial Fund, 420 Investors Place, Suite 104, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452.
