Carol Lee White, 71, of the 2800 block of High St., died Jan. 27, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
A custodian for Portsmouth City Schools, Mrs. White was a native of Seaboard, N.C. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, Pearly L. White; five sons, Oliver W. White, Wayne E. White, Vincent C. White, Pearly J. White and Joseph L. White, all of Portsmouth; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Serenity Funeral Home Chapel by Elder James Freemond. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. Viewing will begin Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Family and friends may assemble at 2829 High St. for the procession to the funeral home chapel at 12:15 p.m. Friday.
