William Dunn, 86, of the 3100 block of Basin Court, died Jan. 27, 1997.
A retired civil service employee, Mr. Dunn was a native of Princess Anne County, Va., and was the widower of his first wife, Hazel Temple Dunn. He was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and Ruth Masonic Lodge No. 89.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine E. Dunn; son, William Dunn Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, William Michael Dunn, Pamela Lauren Dunn and John Phillip Dunn, all of Virginia Beach.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rosewood Memorial Park by Dr. Mark Olson. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
