Herman L. Perlin, 80, of the 2300 block of Bidgood Drive died Jan. 28, 1997, in a local hospital.
Mr. Perlin was a U.S. Army veteran, became a real estate manager of his own property and was the owner of Ace Jewelers. He was a member of the Temple Sinai, Portsmouth, a former member of Elk's Lodge, member of the Elizabeth Manor Country Club, a former member of Power Squadron of Norfolk, and an avid fisherman.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Sadie Tucker Perlin. Survivors include his wife, Paula Willeford Perlin; a son, Arthur Perlin; a daughter, Bonney Green, both of Virginia Beach; a stepson, Stephen Overcash of Alaska; and a sister, Bert Schifter of Miami Beach, Fla.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. today in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, by Rabbi Arthur Z. Steinberg. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
