Doskie O. ``Dot'' Chapman, 79, formerly of the 5500 block of Haden Road, died Jan. 29, 1997, in Richmond.
Born in Coffeeville, Miss., she was the widow of Francis J. Chapman and was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Uzel of Richmond, Frances Brazee of Newport News; two sons, William P. Chapman of Norfolk, Vernon M. Chapman of Richmond; six grandchildren, Vernon Chapman Jr., Merri Chapman, Kandy Pittman, Denise Myers, Charles Brazee Jr., Amanda England; a step-granddaughter, Lori Morris; four great-grandchildren, Christine J. Chapman, Brandi Shae Myers, Summer Babb and Tiffany Pittman.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
