ALFRED W. JORDAN

Alfred W. ``Bro'' Jordan, of the 4200 block of Taylor Road, died Jan. 26, 1997, in Hampton Veteran's Hospital, Hampton.

Born in Norfolk County, he was a retired truck driver for Sears with 30 years service. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, Shoulders Hill, Suffolk, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn D. Jordan of Chesapeake; a sister, Barbara J. Turner of Chesapeake; two brothers, Dr. George L. Jordan Jr. and Bernard D. Jordan, both of Chesapeake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Union Missionary Baptist Church, Shoulders Hill, Suffolk, by Dr. C.V. Russell Sr. Burial with military honors will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Friday. The body will be taken to the church at noon Saturday. The family will be at 2804 Point Harbor Court, Chesapeake, where they will assemble for the funeral procession to the church.
