New Life Christian Fellowship, in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake, will sponsor a performance of ``Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames'' at Great Bridge Middle School Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Not only is this a play for adults, it is also geared for teens. The performance features people in true life situations. In one scene, two teen-age girls are pressured to do drugs by their boyfriends and eventually overdose. In another, a father and son are riding home from church and get into a car accident after a conversation about faith. Together, the scenes are about the consequences of how people choose to live their lives.
The drama will be performed by members of Reality Outreach Ministries, but will also feature people from the New Life Christian Fellowship congregation.
This drama is not recommended for children under 6, producers said, because scenes where Satan and kids interact may be troubling.
The show is open to the public. It will be performed Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Great Bridge Middle School, 441 Battlefield Blvd. South. Admission is free, but you must have a ticket. Tickets can be picked up at New Life Christian Fellowship at 1101 Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake. For more information, call 547-7777.
