Jill Bartell, right, of Duck and Kadra Bradford of Nags Head,
contemplate an art entry Thursday in the 1997 Frank Stick Memorial
Art Show as artists of the Dare County Arts Council rushed to meet a
6 p.m. deadline for entries. More than 140 artists were expected to
be represented in the annual show at Glenn Eure's Ghost Fleet
Gallery starting Sunday and running through February 21.
