Mary Moore Harwell, 97, a 91-year resident of Norfolk, died Jan. 30, 1997, at her residence in Chesapeake.
A homemaker, she was the widow of Alvin L. Harwell and a member of Park Place United Methodist Church, Norfolk. She was a Gloucester native.
Survivors include a daughter, Anne M. Griffin of Chesapeake; granddaughter, Lyn C. Golembiewski of Chesapeake; two great-grandchildren, Emily Golembiewski of Chesapeake and Elizabeth Murphy of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Francis Collins. The family will receive friends at their home at 3912 Deep Run Drive, Chesapeake. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling arrangements.
