Douglas Avery Clark, 72, died Jan. 30, 1997.
He was a Navy veteran and was retired from the Merchant Marines.
He is survived by a sister, Frances G. Warrick and brother-in-law, Fred J. Warrick; two nieces and a nephew.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth, by the Rev. James Thomas. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cottage Place United Methodist Church, Portsmouth.
