Anna Mary Shurkus, 99, died Friday, Jan. 31, 1997, in Bay Point Medical Center.
Mrs. Shurkus was born in Lithuania, the daughter of the late John and Barbara Daunis. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Shurkus and her son, Albert Shurkus. She was a Roman Catholic.
She is survived by two daughters, Agnes A. Summs of Virginia Beach and Anne L. Gilland of Plantsville, Conn.; a son, John Shurkus of Prospect, Conn.; two sisters, Frances Masone of Waterbury, Conn., and Mary McDermott of Newburyport, Mass.; a brother, Vincent Daunis of Waterbury; 15 grandchildren and 19 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at later date in Waterbury. The Cremation Society of Virginia, Tidewater Office, is handling arrangements.
