Mary Ann Choate, 75, of the 1500 block of Wingfield Ave., died Jan. 31, 1997, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Born in Aurora, N.C., she was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Choate; a son, Robert E. Choate III and his wife, Connie, of Chesapeake; two sisters, Geneive Waller of Hanover, Pa., and Agnes Simmonini of Algonquin, Ill.; a brother, Joseph Rachid of Bridgeton, N.C.; a grandson, Thomas A. Choate of Chesapeake; 14 nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Eva Misty of New Bern, N.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Matthews Catholic Church by Father Timothy Drake. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel.
