E. Lee Britt, 88, of the 4400 block of Norman Road, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997, in Suffolk.

A native of Portsmouth, he was the widower of Frances P. Britt and a member of Cottage Place United Methodist Church, Portsmouth. He was retired from Proctor & Gamble as a plant operator after 47 years and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and her husband Jim Herron of Portsmouth and Margaret Reed of Portsmouth.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. James D. Thomas. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and will also be at 4416 Norman Road, Portsmouth. Memorials may be made to Cottage Place United Methodist Church.
