Charles James ``Big Charles'' Harris, 52, of the 1300 block of Goff St., died Feb. 1, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Harris, a native of Norfolk, was the son of the late Joseph C. and Viola Harrell Harris. A retired cement finisher, he had been employed with Ames & Webb and later with Asphalt Roads.
Survivors include a brother, William J. Harrell and wife Carolyn; a nephew, Lance W. Harrell; and a special friend, Catherine McPherson.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Riddick Funeral Service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
