KENNETH L. CREDLE SR.

Kenneth Larry Credle Sr., 77, died of a heart attack on Jan. 31, 1997.

He was a licensed professional mechanical engineer and a lifetime member of ASHRE. He retired after 30 years of service with the federal government in Washington, D.C. Upon their retirement, he and his wife, Seda, moved to Bena. Mr. Credle was an avid handball and bridge player. He was of the Christian faith and attended St. Therese Catholic Church in Gloucester. He was preceded in death by his wife, Seda Bono Credle.

Mr. Credle is survived by a daughter, Marybeth Credle of Richmond; two sons, Kenneth Larry Credle Jr. of Dallas and Edward Staten Credle of Norfolk; a nephew, Edward H. Rowe of Marietta, Ga.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Therese Catholic Church, Gloucester, conducted by the Rev. John E. Ridgell. A rite of Christian burial will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1033 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, Va. 23666.
