Helen Farleigh Benton, 93, a three-time Senior Olympics gold medalist and the eldest member of the Portsmouth Area Golden Olympians died Saturday in the home of her nephew in Midlothian, Va.
In the 1991 Golden Olympics, Benton won gold medals in the 1500-meter walk and the rifle shoot. She never before had held a gun. ``I'm an eagle eye.'' she said. ``I scored 88 hits out of 100, and
four were bull's eyes.'' She also competed that year in croquet, canasta and the Frisbee throw. obituary/Page B4
