Hazel Brothers Pugh, 88, of the 900 block of D St., died Feb. 2, 1997, in Wilton Nursing Home.
A homemaker, she was a native of Wanchese, N.C., and the widow of Charlie L. Pugh Sr. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church, Chesapeake, and a lifelong member of the church.
Survivors include her three sons, Charlie L. Pugh Jr., Gene W. Pugh and Claude B. Pugh, all of Chesapeake; two sisters, Ruth B. Dykstra of Nags Head, N.C., and Maude Parrish of Durham, N.C.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. Amos Eby and the Rev. Willis Dowling. Visitation at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Chesapeake, will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
