ELIZABETH M. JONES

Elizabeth Marable Jones, 74, of 2900 Ingleside Ave., died Sunday night, Feb. 2, 1997, in a local nursing care facility following an extended illness. Funeral services will be private.

Mrs. Jones, a native of Newport News, Va., had lived in Macon the past 8 months. She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. James E. Marable and the widow of Arthur Caroll Jones Jr. She attended Mary Baldwin College in Virginia and served as one of the first stewardesses with American Air Lines. Mrs. Jones was president of the Junior League of Tarrytown, N.Y., and was an interior designer.

Survivors include her sons, Arthur C. ``Casey'' Jones III and Joanna Floyd Jones, of Macon, and Hunter D. Jones of Boston, Mass.; three grandchildren, Arthur C. Jones IV, Joanna Peterson Floyd Jones, Montgomery Lee McLeod Jones, all of Macon.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Middle Georgia Pastoral Counseling Center, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 682 Mulberry St., Macon, Ga. 31201. The family may be contacted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Casey Jones, 2900 Ingleside Ave., Macon, Ga. 31204.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
