EDWARD H. CANTOW

Edward Henry Cantow, 89, died Feb. 3, 1997, at Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth.

Mr. Cantow, a native of Baltimore, retired from American Consumer Industries and United States Cold Storage, New York City, as vice president and treasurer after 50 years of service. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection and was the widower of Cecelia M. Cantow.

Survivors include two sons, Edward F. Cantow M.D., and his wife, Theresa, of Suffolk, Robert James Cantow, and his wife, Mary, of Norwalk, Conn.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Church of the Resurrection by the Rev. James Carr. Burial will be in All Saints Mausoleum, Farmingdale, N.Y. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements.

Friends may join the family at the church beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday until funeral time and at a reception following the Mass. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Resurrection Debt Management Fund, 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, Va. 23703.
