Mark Edward McKracherne, 27, of the 3900 block of Water Oak Road died Feb. 2, 1997, at his residence.
A native of Long Beach, Calif., he was a member of Bass Anglers Society and was a welder for Osborne Welding.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Kay McKracherne, and father, Ralph Edward McKatherne, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Dawn McKatherne-Collings of Chambersburg, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Theda Coombs of Mesa, Calif.; maternal grandparents, Frederick Peterson and Margaret Peterson, both of Toledo, Ohio; and two nephews, Sean Henry Collings and Samuel Hunter Collings.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Daniel J. Cooper. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Kings Grant Baptist Church World Hunger Fund.
