Zofia Zaliskiewicz, 76, died Feb. 3, 1997.
Born in Poland she came to this county in 1949. She resided in Amsterdam, N.Y., until 1980. She moved to Chesapeake, where she resided until the present time. Zofia was the widow of Michael Zaliskiewicz.
She is survived by her son, John Zaliskiewicz of Chesapeake; her daughter, Christine Cooley and her son-in-law, Thomas G. Cooley of Virginia Beach. Zofia had three grandchildren: Edward Schmidtman of Virginia Beach; Thomas G. Cooley Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; April Whitley of Chesapeake; and a great-grandchild, Richard Whitley of Chesapeake.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood.
