Martha Branch of the 200 block of Harrier St. died Feb. 1, 1997, in Sentara Nursing Center.
A dietitian for Addington and Beamon Co., she was an Elizabeth City, N.C., native and the widow of Walter Branch. She was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Norfolk, and served on the usher board and the Missionary Circle.
Survivors include daughter, Lucy Evans of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 3101 Lens Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. Steven Lewis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 206 Harrier St., Virginia Beach, Friday at noon for the procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
