Violet Ricks Taylor, 81, passed away Feb. 3, 1997, in her home.
She was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and reared in Southampton County, Va. She graduated from Cypress Chapel High School and from the Norfolk General Nursing School as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Carson Taylor; two daughters, Ada Packard and Eva Brunette; sister, Mildred Babb; brother, Joe Sam Ricks; four grandchildren, Sarah and Ashley Packard and Rebecca and Edward Brunette. She was predeceased by a sister and two brothers, Sallie Griffin, Randolph Ricks and William Ricks.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Funeral Home, Renton. Memorials may be made to Helping Hands, c/o Calvary Baptist Church, Renton.
