Bruce Rayburn Kendrick, 38, died Wednesday Jan. 29, 1997.
A native of Messina, N.Y., Mr. Kendrick was the son of Frances Kendrick Cole of Palm Harbor and the late Jack Rayburn Kendrick. He was a member of Sky Crest Baptist Church in Clearwater, Fla., and a 1976 graduate of Kempsville High School, Virginia Beach. He was a former member of Holland Road Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Norfolk.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his stepfather, Brian R. Cole of Palm Harbor; two sisters, Gwen A. Taylor of Elon College, N.C., and Melody J. Gillikin of Chesapeake; grandmothers, Ruby Kendrick of Mayo, S.C., and Vida Wilson of Spartanburg, S.C.
A graveside funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Johnny Gillikin, 834 Donnington Drive, Chesapeake. Eggers Funeral Home, Spartanburg, S.C., is in charge.
