I have read the articles regarding hotel owners in Virginia Beach wanting an extension to install fire sprinklers. The extension is ridiculous. What have the hotel owners been doing for seven years? I know one thing, they certainly have been taking the tourists' money for the past seven years.
If my car fails to pass the Virginia state inspection, I am given 10 days to correct the problem. After the 10 days, if I do not correct the problem I would not be granted an extension. I would be ticketed! This is procrastination, nothing more.
I say no to the extension. Seven years was long enough. I know I will be watching the General Assembly to see how they vote.
