Bernard Kevin Saunders, 33, of the 300 block of Hatton St., died Feb. 1, 1997, in Maryview Hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, he was a former member of First Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth.
Survivors include seven daughters, Teabay Jones, Sonja Hill, Shenise Hill, Bernadette Hill, Shameica Hill, Brittany Hill, Deborah Mizelle, all of Portsmouth; two sons, Bernard Kevin Mizelle and Dominique Mizelle, both of Portsmouth; mother, Elsie M. Saunders of Portsmouth and father, Earnest W. Saunders Sr. of Chesapeake; four sisters, Garnetta Saunders, Vernita Saunders, Wanda Brown, all of Portsmouth, Lynn SeSay of Columbia, Md.; two brothers, Earnest Saunders Jr. of Portsmouth and Shawn Saunders of Chesapeake; a grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a special friend, Debbie Mizelle.
A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Kevin Clay. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The body will be taken to the church prior to the funeral service.
