Andrew J. ``A.J.'' Mann, 63, of the 1300 block of Roosevelt Blvd., died Feb. 4, 1997, in Maryview Hospital.
Born in Clarendon, Ark., he retired 12 years ago as a lineman for St. Louis Southwestern with 12 years service. He was a member of Third Baptist Church and the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cross Mann; two daughters, Dr. Crystal Briscoe Crofton of Maryland, Carol Mann Reynolds of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Michael K. Mann of Roswell, Ga., Mark C. Mann of Chester, Va.; a sister, Cleola Gates of Chicago; five grandchildren; and beloved nephew, Norman C. Ash. He was predeceased by a son, Dr. Andrew Keith Mann.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
