MARY L. SILMON

Mary Louise Silmon, 72, of the 1200 block of Mediterranean Ave., died Feb. 5, 1997 in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Born in Princess Anne County, she was the widow of Jack Silmon and was a member of Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach. Mrs. Silmon was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Kay Carpenter of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Florence V. Davis, Virginia L. Freeburn, Ruth B. Rylance and Barbara A. Hembree, all of Virginia Beach; a brother, Walter E. Flanagan Jr. of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, by Dr. Paul C. Bailey and the Rev. David V. Ford. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Ave. Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Virginia, P.O. Box 7065, Richmond, Va. 23221-0065.
